Anna Pavlova. The Dying Swan choreographed by Mikhail Fokine 1905Carnival of Animals: Swan by Camille Saint-Saëns.First of all Music Composed by Camille Saint-Saëns always makes my heart beat.Second of all when I watch Anna dance I am saddened by the absence of true passion that I sometimes see in ballet performed today.Anna WAS a swan in her performance, she was not a woman dancing like a swan, in mind, or of competition, but for the spirit of what makes the animal so symbolically beautiful. Natural. They just don’t do it like the gold days.

George Gershwin.I highly recommend listening to the classic tunes of George Gershwin (& Ira). Though he did spend time creating music fit to the 1920’s, Georges main accomplishment was establishing a controversial link between Jazz and Blues music with Classical music. The man lived and breathed music, and ultimately died it. He was a musical genius and a perfect example of early established dreams and life long commitment.
