I am starting to like Vivienne Westwood, after a good friend told me about her, It is kind of a mix of our styles.
When I imagine myself in Paris, usually I imagine myself like a soft milk maiden running through a field with a boy chasing me with flowers. Vain I know. Can’t wait.

The beauty of Italy, on a clear summer night, stretching out into the Mediterranean Sea. You can see many of the beautiful islands lit up and adorning the coastline including Capri, Sicily, and Malta. The city of Naples and Mt. Vesuvius stand out along the coast. Viva Esperia (8-22-2010)

I hope I don’t sound repetitive when I say that McQeen’s collections are like a representation of whats in my wildest dreams, so fantastical and feminine. This Look reminds me of a Valentines book my mother used to read to me about a giant naked woman who was enclosed in a large hedge of beautiful foliage for cover. (It was also a bit of a scary book, like every kids book from the 70’s the 90’s kids got to read)
The word is indeep full of peril, and in it there are many dark places; but still there is much that is fair, and though in all lands love is now mingled with grief, it grows perhaps the greater.

Tolkien gives me a lot of inspiration. To have faith that their is hope in others while in grim times, makes one feel less alone. |
